This policy describes how Tick ("the app"), published by Dualshade ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the app.

Summary

  • Tick stores your profile, journal entries, habits, and progress locally on your device.
  • We do not operate a user account server for Tick.
  • Journal analysis in the production app runs on-device using Apple Foundation Models where available.
  • We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Information the app stores on your device

  • Profile details such as name, age, goals, and long-term vision
  • Journal entries and titles
  • Daily habits, completions, and challenge progress
  • On-device journal analysis results and mood trend data
  • Optional reminder preferences
  • Sign in with Apple identifier and display information for session restore

Accounts

You can sign in with Apple or continue as guest. Both modes keep data on your device. Signing out ends the active session but does not delete your stored data unless you reset the app.

On-device AI

When available, Tick analyzes journal entries on your device to generate short supportive feedback and trend information. That analysis is based on the journal text you provide and does not require sending your journal to Dualshade servers in the production app.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Tick uses Apple's local notification system. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Widget and Shortcuts

Tick may display summary progress in a home screen widget or respond to system shortcuts. These features read the same on-device app data described above.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect journal content on our servers
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites
  • We do not use your data for advertising

Data retention and deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can remove the app to delete local data, use in-app reset options where available, or sign out without deleting stored account data.

Children

Tick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
