The mark, read as a diagram
Features, argued
Slide them apart and a second shape appears — earned, not assumed. A feature has to argue its way in, and most of them lose. This offset is the mark you already know.
Session, ended
Keep going and the shapes separate for good. Success is you closing the app, not lingering in it — so the last phase of a Dualshade product is you leaving it.

Four rules, all of them expensive
Local-first, by default
No account server exists, so there is nowhere for your writing to go. It costs us the easy features. A privacy claim only counts if it's true in the code.
When we charge, once
No servers means no recurring cost, and a subscription with nothing behind it would just be pressure to manufacture value. You pay once, or not at all.
Honest numbers
Streaks and trends built from what you actually did, and silence when there's nothing to report. No engagement metrics dressed as wellness.
Values extracted, not invented
Our design system was derived by counting real usage across the code, not designed in the abstract. Measure the artefact, then name the pattern.
Dualshade is one person, and that is the whole business plan.
I keep the entire memory of this label in a folder of plain text files on my own machine. That makes me my own customer, which is a more honest signal than any survey I could run.
