Privacy policy · Levy for iOS

Levy has no server. There is no Dualshade account, no backend, and no analytics. The charges you record, their amounts and dates, and every note you add are stored on your device. They are not uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload them to. Levy never asks for a bank login and never reads your email.

01What Levy stores on your device

  • The charges you add: name, amount, currency, billing interval, and next date
  • Any note or cancellation link you attach to a charge
  • Reminder preferences and language settings
  • Whether the app has been unlocked, and when it was installed

None of this is transmitted to us. We have no way to read it, retrieve it, or restore it. It is included in your device backups, because it lives in the app's local storage — those are handled by Apple under Apple's terms, and we have no access to them either.

You can take a copy of all of it. Levy exports your charges to a CSV file. iOS hands that file to you and nothing else happens to it: where it goes next is your decision, and the app sends it nowhere. The same file can be imported back, on this device or another one.

02Importing your charges

Levy can read a CSV file, text you paste in, or text sent to it from the share sheet. All of that is parsed on your device and saved into the app's local storage. Nothing is uploaded for processing, and Levy has no network code that could send it anywhere.

The catalogue of common services that fills in names and typical prices is shipped inside the app. Looking something up in it does not contact anyone.

03Buying the app

If a Dualshade app is paid for, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, your payment details, or your Apple Account. The app asks Apple whether a purchase exists and stores the answer — unlocked or not — on your device.

04Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated by your iPhone, not sent by us, and no data leaves your device to produce them. You can turn reminders off in the app or revoke the permission in iOS Settings.

05When you email us

This is the one place where we do receive personal information.

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message, and it stays in our mailbox until we delete it. We use it only to read and answer you. Nothing is sent unless you write and send the message yourself.

06What Levy never does

  • No analytics. We do not measure how you use the app.
  • No advertising. No ad networks and no advertising identifiers.
  • No tracking. Not across other apps, not across websites. There are no third-party SDKs in the app.
  • No data brokers. We sell nothing, because we collect nothing.
  • No profiling and no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

This website sets no cookies, counts nothing, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else. Everything it needs is served from this domain.

07Keeping and deleting

Your app data stays on your device until you remove it. Deleting a charge removes it, and deleting the app removes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because there is nothing on our side.

08Children

Levy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — or from anyone — beyond the case named above.

09Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. For app data this is unusual in one respect: we cannot exercise those rights for you, because we do not hold the data — it is on your device and under your control. Portability is the one you can exercise directly, from inside the app. If you have written to us, ask and we will delete the mail.
